A scientific approach to learning
Science is an endlessly fascinating field of study, but it can get a little tricky for the non-science student. If that’s you, we have good news. Our tutors are experts who make science easy to understand. Let them help you put the pieces together and answer your questions about everything from anatomy to organic chemistry.
At the CGCC Learning Center, you can get free one-on-one science tutoring, video tutorials, printed resources and more. Subjects include:
- Anatomy and Physiology
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Microbiology
- Organic Chemistry
- Join in person at the Pecos and Williams Campus Science Tutoring Centers and/or online via Cranium Café to connect live with a CGCC chemistry or biology tutor.
- Online tutoring is by appointment only.
After-hours from a Brainfuse Tutor
When CGCC tutors are not available, log into Brainfuse and use the Live Help option to connect with a Brainfuse tutor. This service is free and available to CGCC students; however, your time is limited to 2 hours per semester. To use Brainfuse, log in with your MEID and password.
Science Tutoring
Textbook and Calculator Rentals
We do our best to have graphing calculators and copies of current textbooks on hand to use while you’re in our Learning Centers. We do not rent any items for use outside of the center. You can submit a calculator rental request (login with your MEID).

In addition to individual tutoring, our Learning Centers offer workshops on related topics. Check back often to see what’s coming up.
