Many of our programs are now available online, so you can accomplish your educational goals while balancing your life. Class Formats Available

Class Formats

In-Person
The class meets regularly on campus at the time listed in the schedule. This format is ideal for students who value face-to-face interaction with their instructors and classmates and the ability to access on-campus resources.

Online
The instructor’s coursework is available online, allowing you to complete assignments on your own schedule within set start and end dates. In some cases, online classes may have required in-person proctored assessments at the discretion of the instructor.

Live Online
In this format, the instructor lectures live online through a web conferencing system. It features virtual class meetings with set dates and times. Like Online, in some cases, online classes may have required in-person proctored assessments at the discretion of the instructor.

Hybrid Live Online
This format combines online coursework with live online class meetings. The live online sessions occur on set dates and times, providing structure while still offering flexibility.

Hybrid In-Person
This format blends online learning with in-person class meetings on campus. The in-person sessions occur at specific times and dates listed in the class schedule. This mode combines the benefits of online flexibility with an on-campus experience.
Class Formats
To participate in our Fall classes, students will need a laptop or desktop computer and a reliable internet connection. You may also need a working webcam and microphone for your computer. For more information, please visit our Technology Resources page.
You may use a smartphone or tablet to contact us and take advantage of our virtual services. However, a laptop or desktop computer is suggested to complete live online, on your time online and hybrid classes.
Yes! Our Learning Center, Computer Lab and Library are all providing virtual services for our students. Visit their pages to learn more about their online services and availability.
Most courses are offered in 8-week or 16-week formats. In a typical 3-credit course, content instruction, independent learning, and homework, you should expect to commit approximately:
- 16-weeks: 6 hours per week
- 8-weeks: 12 hours per week
