Live Online
- Sessions meet online at specific days and times
- Interact live with instructor and classmates in a virtual environment
- Online assignments with due dates can be done outside of the class session
- Continue class experiences like lectures and small group work
Online
- Choose when it is convenient for you to learn without scheduled class times
- Decide when it best suits you to engage in learning activities
- Submit all coursework and assignments online by due dates
Hybrid
- Experience the combination of in-person classes and online learning
- Enjoy face-to-face time on campus in small class settings with faculty and students
- Learn online on your own time or join scheduled Live Online Sessions
- Homework/assignments completed and submitted either online or in person
Hybrid Virtual
- Experience the combination of Live Online and Online on your own time
- Live Online sessions meet online at specific days and times
- Online learning on your own time without set times
- Assignments with due dates will be completed online
In Person
- Sessions meet on-campus on specific days and times

Class Formats
To participate in our Fall classes, students will need a laptop or desktop computer and a reliable internet connection. You may also need a working webcam and microphone for your computer. For more information, please visit our Technology Resources page.
You may use a smartphone or tablet to contact us and take advantage of our virtual services. However, a laptop or desktop computer is suggested to complete live online, on your time online and hybrid classes.
Yes! Our Learning Center, Computer Lab and Library are all providing virtual services for our students. Visit their pages to learn more about their online services and availability.
Most courses are offered in 8-week or 16-week formats. In a typical 3-credit course, content instruction, independent learning, and homework, you should expect to commit approximately:
- 16-weeks: 6 hours per week
- 8-weeks: 12 hours per week
