The Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) has selected its next round of baccalaureate degrees for development in accordance with Arizona State Legislature in Senate Bill 1453 (SB 1453).

The Aspen Institute College Excellence Program (Aspen) announced today that Veronica Hipolito, Vice President of Student Affairs at Chandler-Gilbert Community College, is one of 35 leaders selected for the 2023-24 class of the Aspen Rising Presidents Fellowship.

April 12-14, 2023, the Summit will bring together teams of higher education professionals and advocates who serve as faculty, administrators, industry professionals, and government liaisons in the AI ecosystem. Participants will discover ways to develop a strong workforce pipeline in their institutions through innovative teaching, unique partnerships, and holistic program management.

Chandler-Gilbert Community College (CGCC) was founded in 1985 to serve the higher education needs of the Southeast Valley. In 1992, CGCC was accredited as an independent college by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association. Today, with four locations and an average of 19,000 students every year, Chandler-Gilbert Community College is a fast-growing member of the Maricopa Community College system.

The Queen Creek Promise Program is a commitment from the Town of Queen Creek to its residents for eligible high school students to attend Chandler-Gilbert Community College (CGCC) for two years with Arizona resident tuition fully funded.

On Saturday, January 28, 2023, the Arizona Attorney General's Office and Chandler Police Department will be sponsoring a Shred-A-Thon and RX Drug Takeback at the Chandler-Gilbert Community College (CGCC) Pecos campus.

Chandler-Gilbert Community College (CGCC) is honored to be a 2022 recipient of the Department of Education’s Developing Hispanic-Serving Institutions (DHSI) Title V grant.

Chandler-Gilbert Community College (CGCC) is proud to announce that we have been awarded a Title V grant focused on the success of our Hispanic students and improving and institutionalizing key positions, initiatives and strategies around their success and the college's position to meet all of our students' needs.

This year the Chandler Chamber of Commerce celebrated their 35th Anniversary of the Chandler Chamber Community Awards, presented by Gila River Resorts & Casinos. The awards honor local businesses, educators and community members for their outstanding contributions to Chandler. In addition to these accolades, the Chandler Chamber Community Foundation  (https://www.chandlerchamber.com/chandler-chamber-community-foundation) awards scholarships to Chandler-Gilbert Community College (CGCC) students.

​​​​​​​Chandler-Gilbert Community College will induct Dr. Frank Ramirez into the college’s Athletics Hall of Fame during a ceremony on Saturday, February 19, 2022. The ceremony will be held in the Coyote Gym at the CGCC Pecos Campus between the women’s and men’s basketball games. The women’s game against Arizona Western College tips off at 2 p.m., with the induction ceremony following the conclusion of the game.

CGCC is excited to welcome Gulfsteam to Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, and is well underway in building training and workforce pipelines in the field of aerospace that connect directly to programs at CGCC's Williams Campus. As Gulfstream ramps up training, onboarding and operations, CGCC will partner through space use and collaborate on building embedded and hands on models for our students to learn and experience real world aviation that lead to highly skilled and competitive paying jobs.

Chandler-Gilbert Community College’s Pecos Campus is currently serving as a point of dispensing (POD) for COVID-19 vaccinations, operated by the Maricopa County Department of Public Health and Dignity Health. Since opening on December 21, over 100,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered to priority groups at the Pecos Campus POD - 25% of the total doses provided to the county. In addition to allowing Chandler-Gilbert to serve the community, hosting this POD has provided a unique hands-on learning opportunity for CGCC nursing students.
