The family, friends, and colleagues of Dr. Michael Santoro invite you to apply for funding to support your geoscience education at Chandler-Gilbert Community College (CGCC).
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be enrolled at Chandler-Gilbert Community College
- Currently, be taking a GLG or GPH course
- Enroll in an upcoming GLG or GPH course
- Submit a letter to a local, state, or national leader (details in the application)

The Omega Delta Phi Alumni Association of Arizona - SEED Legacy Scholarship

Criteria to apply:
The Omega Delta Phi Alumni Association of Arizona 2020-2021 SEED Legacy Scholarship is open to anyone who plans to attend college or a post-secondary school in the state of Arizona. The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage and support students who are seeking to better themselves, their community, and their future through education. A $750 scholarship will be awarded for the 2020- 2021 academic year.
Eligibility requirements:
- Enrolled in an undergraduate, undergraduate certificate, or trade program in the fall of 2020 and the spring of 2021 semesters as a Full Time student.
- GPA of 2.5 or higher from 2019/2020 (or high school GPA of 2.5 or higher if last school attended was high school).
- Completed 3-5 hours of community service within last calendar year (January 2019 – present).
All-USA Scholarship

Apply now for the All-USA Community College Academic Team scholarships! The All-AZ and All-USA scholarships are open to any eligible student. Some additional scholarships included in the application are restricted to PTK members only. Visit Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society for eligibility and additional details.
The top two students from both Pecos and Williams Campuses are named to the All-CGCC Academic Team and receive:
- All-AZ Academic Team scholarships of $500, $750 or $1,000 (based on final placement at state)
- Nomination for consideration to the prestigious All-USA Academic Team ($5,000 to 20 students nationwide) as well as other nationwide scholarships.
- The six runners up from either the Pecos or Williams Campuses are named to the All-CGCC Academic Team and receive $300:

American Councils for International Education
Critical Language Scholarship Program

The application for the CLS Program, including CLS Spark, is available at: https://clscholarship.org/apply. Applications are due November 14 at 8:00pm Eastern Time.
Are you interested in learning a foreign language to stand out and become more competitive in an increasingly globalized workforce?
The Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program offers funded language instruction in 13 critical languages. Of the languages with pre-requisites to go abroad, we offer virtual beginning- level instruction in Arabic, Chinese, and Russian through CLS Spark.
Benefits for the CLS Program, including CLS Spark, are the following:
- Language instruction and participation in cultural programming
- Course credit through Bryn Mawr College

ASU Public Service Academy

CGCC Academic Scholarship

Applicants must:
- Have 15 credit hours completed at CGCC at 100-level courses or above
- Have a minimum cumulative 3.5 GPA at CGCC
- Enroll in a minimum of 6 credit hours (above 100-level courses) at CGCC for fall 2019
- Be a U.S. citizen, a legal resident of the United States, or have lawful immigration status

CGCC Aircraft Maintenance Technology Scholarship

Scholarship is intended to provide academic support to eligible applicants who have demonstrated an interest in Aviation Maintenance Technology. The amount of the scholarships may vary, depending on available funds.
Applicant must provide the following:
- Applicant must be pursuing a career in Aircraft Maintenance Technology.
- Must have completed a minimum of 1 to 12 credits at CGCC.
- Must be enrolled full-time at CGCC in Fall '20 and Spring '21.
- Must have a minimum, cumulative 2.5 GPA at CGCC.
- Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.

CGCC Aviation Flight Emphasis Scholarship

Scholarship is intended to provide academic support to eligible applicants who have demonstrated an interest in AET Flight. The amount of the scholarships may vary, depending on available funds.
Applicant must provide the following:
- Must be pursuing a career in Aviation, Flight Emphasis Program.
- Must be enrolled Full-time in Fall '20 and Spring '21.
- Applicant must have a minimum, cumulative 3.0 GPA.
- Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.

Chandler Chamber Community Foundation Scholarship

Criteria to apply:
The mission of the Chandler Chamber Community Foundation is to enhance the business community and to develop future business leaders through educational events, programs, and scholarships.
Eligibility requirements:
- Must live or work in Chandler, Arizona, or be a current student at any high school servicing Chandler or attend Chandler-Gilbert Community College
- Must be a legal resident of the United States
- Must be actively enrolled at Chandler-Gilbert Community College for the 2022–2023 academic year with a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester
- Field of study must be business related
- Must create a 2- to 4-minute video OR complete an essay (see application for details)
- Must submit one letter of recommendation
- Must attach high school or college transcript to application
- If chosen to receive the scholarship, must attend an award ceremony in order to receive the scholarship. At this award ceremony recipients will be asked to say a few words.

College Success Arizona Scholarship

Criteria to apply:
College Success Arizona Scholarship is committed to making a college education a reality for Arizona’s high-potential students who cannot afford the cost. Scholarship applicants must be an active member in one of our College Access Partners and meet all additional eligibility requirements.
Scholarships:
- Up to $6,000 per year ($2,000–$3,000 per semester) for 4 years
- Intended for students planning to obtain a bachelor’s degree within 4 years; beginning your education at a community college for the first 2 years is an option
- Includes Mentoring and Success Services (see below)

- Peer networking sessions, trainings, and workshops

Criteria to apply:
CGCC students will create a free account at www.cashcourse.org using their Maricopa Student Email, and select Chandler-Gilbert Community College as their school. From there, students will navigate to:
- My Assignments (on the left navigation)
- Select Ryan Cain as the administrator, then click “Submit”
CGCC students will see three course assignments for completion. These three courses must be completed with an 80% or better prior to November 27, 2019:
- Budgeting Basics
- Saving and Goal Setting
- Funding Sources
These courses will not be available after the deadline. CGCC students who complete each course with an 80% or better will be considered for a scholarship worth three credits of in-state tuition for spring 2020.
St. Luke’s Service League Nursing Scholarship

Criteria to apply:
The Phoenix St. Luke’s Service League is offering the 2019–2020 Nursing Scholarship. The scholarship is available only to American citizens and residents living in Maricopa County pursuing an education in nursing.
In addition to the residency requirements and the 3.0 GPA, other considerations include volunteerism, extra-curricular activities, and a written statement of academic goals. Failure to complete the financial statement will result in disqualification of the applicant.
The applicant must be accepted to an accredited university, community college, or technical/vocational school in Maricopa County, and complete 12 credit hours (or 9 graduate credit hours) of study.
The scholarship is awarded as a gift, to be used ONLY for school expenses (tuition, books, lab fees; purchased through school facilities). The scholarship is available for one year, provided the student maintains a GPA of 3.0 or above for the fall and spring semester. Documentation of the GPA and continuous enrollment must be validated prior to the issuing of scholarship monies each semester. No monies will be released without proper documentation.
Previous scholarship recipients may re-apply for this scholarship as long as they meet the requirements.
Applicants must:
- Be a U.S. citizen and a resident of Maricopa County
- Be pursuing and completing at least 12 credit hours each semester in nursing
- Be planning to attend or attending a state-approved nursing program in Maricopa County
- Have a current GPA of 3.0 or above

Sun Lakes Rotary Vocational Scholarship

- Show financial need by completing a 2019–2020 FAFSA
- Be working toward a vocational skill at the college
- Be currently employed
Tempe St. Luke’s Auxiliary Scholarship

Criteria to apply:
The scholarship is available to Maricopa residents who are pursuing a health-related career; intend to enroll or are enrolled in an Arizona-accredited college, university, or technical school; and have a 3.0 GPA.
The student applicant must be enrolled in 6 or more credits, and must follow all scholarship guidelines within this application. All applications must be typed and signed by the applicant, as well as other entities as indicated on the application. Handwritten applications will not be considered.

WiseGeek Nurse Appreciation Scholarship

We're excited to help support the CGC nursing community and announce a new scholarship for nursing students burdened by debt. The WiseGeek Nurse Appreciation Scholarship is awarding $500 for students pursuing a career in Nursing.

Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship Program

Criteria to apply:
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship makes it possible for the nation's top community college students to complete their bachelor's degrees by transferring to a selective four-year college or university. The Foundation provides up to $40,000 per year.
Applicant must provide the following:
- Be a current student at an accredited U.S. community college or two-year institution with sophomore status by January 1, 2021, or a recent graduate (since spring 2016).
- Plan to enroll full time in a baccalaureate program at an accredited college or university in the Fall of 2021.
- Have a cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 3.5 or better on a scale of 4.0 (or the equivalent).
- Demonstrate unmet financial need. Applicants with family income up to $95,000 will be considered.
- Have not previously attended a four-year institution
ASU Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) is an internationally recognized Honor Society that encourages academic achievement and provides opportunities for college students to grow as scholars and leaders. Members of Phi Theta Kappa transferring to ASU from community colleges may apply to be considered for a scholarship open exclusively to PTK members in good standing.
Criteria to apply:
- 3.50 minimum GPA
- Arizona resident
- Enrolled full time
- Member of Phi Theta Kappa transferring to ASU from a community college
- Attended community college the semester immediately preceding admission to ASU. There must be no break in enrollment.
John Herdt Memorial Scholarship

Criteria to apply:
Applicants:
- Must be enrolled full time for fall 2020 at CGCC
- Must have completed 29 credits at CGCC
- Must have a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA
- Must demonstrate financial need by filing a 2020–2021 FAFSA by April 16, 2020
- Should have a background in volunteering, serving as an officer in a club or organization, and show how they have provided leadership

National Healthcare Heroes Grant for Nurses

This grant will go to an aspiring or current nurse to aid with the cost of their tuition or student loans. Current nursing students, recent nursing graduates, or aspiring nursing students are all eligible to apply.
Applicant must provide the following:

Next Generation Service Corps - ASU Public Service Academy

The Next Generation Service Corps (NGSC) is a 2-year leadership development program in which students are armed with the courage to cross sectors, connect networks and ignite action for the greater good
Applicants should be:
- An Incoming transfer student to ASU
- Enrolled in ASU for the fall semester
- Transfer students must have a MINIMUM of 60 credits or an Associate's Degree completed before arriving at ASU.

Dougherty Foundation Scholarship

Criteria to apply:
- Complete the ACF General Scholarship application (use Search field to locate)
- Be enrolled at one of these educational institutions: Arizona State University, Grand Canyon University, Northern Arizona University, the University of Arizona, Prescott College, Coconino Community College, Mohave Community College, Thunderbird College, or any of the Maricopa County Community Colleges District campuses
- Minimum enrollment: 6 hours at community college; 12 hours at four-year university

Award details
$250–$500 scholarships per semester based on the number of enrolled hours.
Renewal
Scholarships may be renewed if students continue to show financial need and maintain academic achievement. A progress review will be done each semester to verify the completion of credit hours and cumulative GPA.
Father Joseph N. Patterson Foundation Scholarship

Father Joseph N. Patterson Foundation Scholarship was established by Father Joseph N. Patterson to assist deserving young men and women attain their educational goals.
Eligibility requirements:
- Minimum grade point average of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale
- Evidence of financial need
- Demonstration of leadership and community service
- High school and college (undergraduate) students. (Scholarships not available for grad school or graduate students.)

The HACU Scholarship Program

CGCC is a Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) member. HACU is pleased to be the administrator of scholarship opportunities provided by our partners to assist in defraying some of your college expenditures. Please review each scholarship’s criteria carefully to see if you qualify, since each partner may have differing requirements.
Criteria to apply:
- Demonstrate financial need if required by scholarship sponsor (typically determined by FAFSA).
- Meet specific criteria for the scholarships to which they are applying.
- Students must currently attend a HACU-member college or university in the U.S. or Puerto Rico at the time applications are completed and scholarship awards are made. Students transferring schools, the school must also be a HACU-member to be eligible to apply. For the most up-to-date listing of HACU-member institutions, please click here.

Arizona Pilots Association Scholarship

Criteria to apply:
To assist young men and women from Arizona in achieving a vocational or postsecondary school education related to an aviation career. APA awards annual scholarships to help fill the unmet financial need of students pursuing aviation related education opportunities at accredited colleges, universities, and technical institutions. A wide range of aviation related fields are eligible for scholarship awards: Professional Pilot, Airframe and Powerplant (A&P)/Maintenance, Air Traffic Control, Aerospace Engineering, Airport Management.

HACU and Denny’s Hungry for Education Scholarships

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities is partnering with the Denny’s Corporation to offer Denny’s Hungry for Education Scholarships. HACU is one of the leading nonprofit organizations partnering to offer scholarships to students that share their ideas and can contribute to the company’s goal of ending childhood hunger in local communities. Students at HACU-member institutions can apply for one of the five ($2,000) Denny’s Hungry for Education Scholarships to be awarded.
Criteria to apply:
- Be a full or part-time undergraduate or graduate student attending a two-year or four-year HACU-member institution. (CGCC is considered a HACU institution).
- Open to all majors.
- Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
- Applicant must submit a 500-word essay about how Denny's can help bring communities together. If notified of selection, scholarship recipients are required to submit a head shot electronically to HACU for Denny’s press purposes.

Chandler Horizon Rotary Scholarship

Arizona Business Aviation Association Scholarship

Criteria to apply:
AZBAA is proud to offer business aviation scholarships in both spring and fall. Applicants must be:
- 18 or older
- Legal Arizona residents
- Pursuing a career in business aviation.
Scholarship funds are paid directly to the student’s educational institution or training program, and can fund tuition, flight ratings, recurring training, etc. Please complete the online application requirements to be considered for the scholarship.
Jaxon Landfair Humanitarian Scholarship

The Jaxon Landfair Humanitarian Scholarship is now funded by Jaxon Foundation and is payable up to $ 5,000 to a participating College, University, or Academy. All students who are enrolled in their 2021 Senior year at an accredited Arizona High School are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
Criteria to apply:
- Must be pursuing a degree in Law Enforcement/ Criminal Justice
- Minimum GPA of 2.5
- Demonstrate financial need
- Qualified applicants will be invited to an interview with the Jaxon Foundation Review Board
- Every scholarship recipient will be connected with a Jaxon Mentor who will provide guidance throughout the scholarship period.

- Submit a 500 word essay showing that you are familiar with "Jaxon's Three Things". Include how you have or will use them in your life. (These are found on the Jaxon Foundation website)
Lockheed Martin Scholarship Program

Criteria to apply:
In 2019, Lockheed Martin began awarding 200 scholarships of $10,000 per student, renewable each year. The program will continue to add up to 200 new recipients each year, and will be open to individuals studying engineering or computer science who demonstrate financial need and come from underrepresented or underserved communities.
Eligibility requirements:
- Majoring or planning to major in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Math, Physics, Information Systems/Management Information Systems, or Information Assurance
- High school senior with a 2.5 or above GPA
- Current freshman/sophomore undergraduate students with a 2.5 GPA or higher
- Attending or planning to attend an accredited U.S. four-year college or university
- U.S. citizen
- Willing to consider a paid internship with Lockheed Martin following their freshman, sophomore, or junior year of college, other circumstances notwithstanding (note: the internship is not required to receive a scholarship)
Selection of Recipients:
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstances, and an outside appraisal. Financial need, as calculated by Scholarship America, must be demonstrated for the student to receive the award.
Maria L. Hesse Service and Leadership Scholarship

The Maria L. Hesse Service and Leadership Scholarship, endowed by CGCC’s second president, is awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional leadership and service to the college and/or the community. Applicants must have completed at least 6 credit hours at CGCC.

The Community Celebrating Diversity Scholarship

The Community Celebrating Diversity Scholarship is funded by the corporate sponsors of the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. celebration and Community Celebrating Diversity (CCD).
Under this program, CCD sponsors five $2,500 scholarships to high school graduates who show promise of continued excellence in an effort to recognize and promote student excellence and achievement. The scholarships will be awarded thusly: two for pursuing a STEM degree and three for general education. These scholarships are for study at post-secondary institutions of higher education in Arizona.
Description:
The scholarships can be utilized for the “cost of attendance” at any postsecondary institution of higher education in Arizona. Postsecondary is defined as a two-year college, technical, vocational, or 4-year university. Awards will be granted on the basis of academic achievement, demonstrated community service, financial need, and an essay on the importance of respecting diversity.
Eligibility requirements:
- Must be a full-time resident of Arizona and has community involvement in Scottsdale.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, or provide evidence that he or she is a permanent resident of the United States.
- Must be a graduating high school senior with a minimum GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.
AGA Phoenix Chapter Scholarship

Criteria to apply:
- Offered by the Phoenix Chapter of the Association of Government Accountants (AGA), this is an opportunity for eligible undergraduate or graduate students.
- The scholarship is geared toward students enrolled in Accounting, Finance, or Public Administration curriculum.
- The recipient is awarded a one-year Special Student Membership in the Phoenix Chapter AGA, which will entitle them to attend chapter meetings and educational events.
- One scholarship awarded for $1,000, and a possible second-place award for $500.

Arizona Pilots Association Scholarship

Criteria to apply:
To assist young men and women from Arizona in achieving a vocational or postsecondary school education related to an aviation career. APA awards annual scholarships to help fill the unmet financial need of students pursuing aviation related education opportunities at accredited colleges, universities, and technical institutions. A wide range of aviation related fields are eligible for scholarship awards: Professional Pilot, Airframe and Powerplant (A&P)/Maintenance, Air Traffic Control, Aerospace Engineering, Airport Management.
APA award 6-8 scholarships annually (~$3,000 each)

All-USA Scholarship

Apply now for the All-USA Community College Academic Team scholarships! The All-AZ and All-USA scholarships are open to any eligible student. Some additional scholarships included in the application are restricted to PTK members only. Visit Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society for eligibility and additional details.
The top two students from both Pecos and Williams Campuses are named to the All-CGCC Academic Team and receive:
- 60 credit tuition waiver which can be used at ASU, NAU , or UofA
- All-AZ Academic Team scholarships of $500, $750 or $1,000 (based on final placement at state)
- Nomination for consideration to the prestigious All-USA Academic Team ($5,000 to 20 students nationwide) as well as other nationwide scholarships.
