In support of these initiatives, Be a Student’s Hero Day of Giving stands as a beacon of support for CGCC students, amplifying their stories, showcasing college programs, increasing awareness, and rallying funds to fuel their educational journeys. Every donation raised directly bolsters CGCC students where they need it most, spanning essential living expenses, emergency funds, and critical school-related fees, including tuition, textbooks, and supplies. A contribution is a lifeline for these students, showing them that their community cares and supports their educational journey.
The Coyote Cupboard, CGCC's esteemed food pantry, is a crucial resource for students facing food insecurity. In partnership with Matthew’s Crossing Food Bank, CGCC is committed to addressing hunger within its community. The Coyote Cupboard offers an array of necessities, from non-perishable food items to household essentials, snacks, drinks, toiletries, personal items, and even school supplies. Donations to this cause ensure that no member of the CGCC community goes without these essential provisions, directly impacting their lives.
Small amounts of generosity can make a tangible difference in the lives of CGCC students. Every contribution, no matter the size, can change a student's trajectory.
Led by the Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation (MCCF), in collaboration with the system’s ten colleges, the fundraising endeavor is a collective effort of our community. In all, the colleges aim to raise $205,000 district-wide this year, a goal that can only be achieved with the support and generosity of the surrounding areas.
